Namibian Police Office is investigating an unusual case where a teacher was robbed of money in the classroom.
According to sources, A teacher from Rudolf Ngondo Primary School in Rundu, Kavango East, was violently attacked by two assailants while in class on the 13/04/2023
Reports indicate that the teacher had withdrawn approximately N$15,200 in cash from a local bank, which belonged to a regional sports event where she was part of the organizing team.
The suspects allegedly entered the classroom and forcefully grabbed the teacher's handbag, which contained the cash and some important documents. It is believed that the suspects gained entry to the school by jumping over the fence, and then fled the scene in a silver Polo Sedan, with a driver waiting for them.
The incident has left the teacher traumatized and shaken, as she was targeted for her money while carrying out her duties at the school. This highlights the need for increased security measures in schools to ensure the safety and well-being of teachers, staff, and students.
