Davido, the renowned Nigerian artist who has received numerous accolades, recently shared the story of how his wife, Chioma Rowland, initially rejected his romantic advances.
During a conversation with vlogger Tayo Aina, Davido revealed that he first encountered Chioma while they were both enrolled as students at Babcock University in Osun State.
According to Davido, it was love at first sight for him. As soon as he laid eyes on Chioma, he immediately instructed one of his friend to contact her on his behalf. However, Chioma turned down the request.

Recalling the incident, Davido said, "I was seated in a Prado, and I glanced back to see this girl strolling. It was Chioma, carrying her bag."
"I told my friend, 'I really like that girl, go and get her for me.' He reached out to her, but she did not respond to me at that time," Davido explained.
Despite the initial rejection, Davido mentioned that Chioma eventually came to Lagos, and they arranged to meet.
The couple tied the knot shortly after the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a swimming pool at Davido's Banana Island residence last year.
