Woman Injured in Attempted Theft

Windhoek, Namibia – A woman sustained severe injuries last night in Windhoek's Hakahana area after becoming stuck on top of a gate while allegedly attempting to steal from a local residence. The incident occurred during the late hours, leaving the woman’s thigh impaled by sharp metal bars on the gate.

Eyewitnesses reported that the woman, known in the area for targeting Volkswagen vehicle mirrors to resell, was fleeing from a dog when she attempted to scale the gate. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and she became trapped.

Paramedics from the City of Windhoek arrived at the scene at around 00:20 to rescue the woman from her predicament. She was later transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the incident, but residents have expressed frustration over repeated theft attempts in the area.
