Ten individuals were admitted to Rundu Intermediate Hospital this afternoon after reportedly consuming a traditional drink, Sikundu, at Mpora village in the Kavango West region.
Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga stated that the victims began feeling ill immediately after drinking the Sikundu, which had been stored in a basket previously used for insecticide chemicals.
The affected individuals, aged 18, 21, 22, 26, 28, 40, and 65, are reported to be employees of Mayo Mini Market in Mpora village.
Hospital officials have confirmed that all ten individuals are in stable condition and are currently under medical observation. News reported by Eagle FM.
