Former Forex Trader, Michael Amushelelo, has rejoined the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) today, revealed that he used the Landless People's Movement (LPM) as a temporary political refuge while NEFF addressed its deregistration issues.
Amushelelo, who was recently included on LPM leader Bernardus Swartbooi’s list of parliamentary nominees, explained that his decision to align with LPM during NEFF’s deregistration was made in consultation with NEFF leadership.
"I was tasked with seeking political refuge in another party to divert attention from NEFF, allowing the party to continue its efforts for re-registration," he said.“To mislead the government, we had to create the narrative that there was a serious rift between NEFF and me, so there would be no suspicion that I intended to return once the party regained its registration.”
Amushelelo expressed gratitude to LPM for offering him a political home during this period.
