146 Police Officers Promoted in Kavango East

The Namibian Police Force in Kavango East celebrated the promotion of 146 officers on Wednesday, advancing members to the ranks of Sergeant class 2  to Senior inspector.

Among the 146 officers promoted, 98 are male, and 48 are female promoted today comparing in 2023, were 147 officers in the region were promoted to various ranks, with 93 males and 54 females.

“These promotions are a well-deserved acknowledgment of their dedication and hard work,” Haingura said. He further encouraged the officers to embrace their new responsibilities, demonstrate leadership, and make a tangible impact on crime reduction in the region.

This promotion parade was the first for Haingura since his reinstatement as regional commander in September. He expressed hope that such recognition would continue, provided officers maintain high standards of professionalism and commitment.

Haingura reminded the newly promoted officers of the significant responsibilities attached to their new roles. “For those moving from junior to commission ranks, your support for the regional commander is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the force,” he said.

The ongoing promotions highlight a consistent effort to strengthen the leadership within the police force.
