Kavango West, 28 December 2024 — A male security guard, identified as Kahutji Paulus Mpengo, reported tragically ended his life by shooting himself with a pistol on Friday while on duty at the Kavango West Regional Council.
According to Kavango West Police Regional Commander Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered on Saturday morning.
"The next of kin have been informed, and no suicide note was found at the scene," she stated.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
