Windhoek, Namibia – Fly Angola has officially launched a new flight service connecting Windhoek, Namibia, to Luanda, Angola, operating three times a week. The service, which began on December 21, 2024, aims to strengthen regional connectivity and enhance trade between the two neighboring countries.
The route links Luanda International Airport (LAD) to Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), with a stopover at Catumbela Airport (CBT) in Benguela. Scheduled flights are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, providing greater travel flexibility for both business and leisure travelers.
Air Connect Namibia has welcomed the development, highlighting its potential to foster stronger regional integration and economic cooperation. "This is a vital step toward greater regional integration and trade," said Dan Kamati, spokesperson for the Namibia Airports Company.
The new service is expected to improve business relations, tourism, and cultural exchange between Angola and Namibia, two countries with growing economic ties.
Fly Angola’s expansion into the Namibian market reflects a growing demand for direct air travel within Southern Africa, opening up more opportunities for collaboration and development in the region.
