A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his cousin, Stefanus Mwavina Pius (41), to death at around 03:00 this morning at Ohama yaShuunda village, located in the Outapi Constituency, Omusati Region.
The victim was found with nine stab wounds, and his next of kin have been notified. According to Commissioner Ismael Basson, Omusati police regional commander, the suspect used an unknown sharp object to stab the deceased repeatedly, resulting in his death at the scene.
Basson explained that the incident occurred while the deceased was sleeping in a room shared with his co-worker. The suspect reportedly entered the room and attack the decease.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and police investigations are ongoing.
