The Namibian police made significant strides in their fight against drug-related crimes, arresting a total of 126 suspects in December 2024. Among those apprehended were 118 Namibian nationals, four Angolans, one South African, two Zambians, and one Tanzanian.
In their crackdown, law enforcement seized a substantial haul of illegal substances, including 308,004.7 kilograms of cannabis, 10,031 mandrax tablets, 307 units of crack cocaine, and 8,859 grams of cocaine powder. These operations highlight the police's commitment to curbing drug trafficking and consumption in the country.
The authorities have reiterated their call for public cooperation in reporting suspicious activities to ensure continued progress in combating drug-related offenses.
