On Wednesday, seven individuals, including school-going learners, made their initial appearance in the Rundu Magistrate's Court on charges of forgery, uttering a forged instrument, and altering or tampering with certificates and diplomas in Rundu, Kavango East Region.
The accused are Feblonia Shifura, Maria Muyenga, Joseph Addy Maseka Kasanga, Joseph Addy Maseka Kasera, Frank Kasera, Christiane Hausiku, and a juvenile whose name cannot be disclosed due to legal protections for minors.

Three of the accused, who are learners, were granted bail set at N$2,000 each. The remaining three adults, including the owner of Addie Film and his brother, were denied bail. The court has postponed the case to 14 February 2025 for further proceedings.
Forgery and related offenses are serious crimes in Namibia, carrying significant legal consequences. The Namibian legal system treats such offenses with gravity, as evidenced by various cases handled by the High Court.
