The Catholic community and the Oblate congregation are celebrating the 93rd birthday of Fr. Franz-Joseph Michels, affectionately known as “Father Mandjoboro.”
Fr. Michels has been a pillar of faith and dedication, serving tirelessly in the province for decades. Fluent in Oshikwanyama and Rukwangali, he has bridged cultures through his ministry, composing songs and prayers that continue to inspire many. Known for his passionate preaching and unwavering commitment, he remains a faithful servant of the Church and the Oblate congregation.

Even at 93, Fr. Michels continues his mission in Bunya, witnessing to the hope of Christ through his life and service. His perseverance and zeal stand as a testament to his deep faith and dedication.
On this special occasion, we pray that the Lord grants him strength, peace of mind, and a steadfast spirit as he continues his journey in faith.
