A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by police in the Ohangwena Region following the fatal stabbing of her 30-year-old brother in the early hours of today at Oshikuni village, located in the Okongo Constituency.
Preliminary information indicates that the woman had returned home from a local cucashop and found her brother asleep in their mother’s bedroom, where he was sharing a bed with other family members.
An argument reportedly broke out after the suspect began insulting their mother. When the brother attempted to intervene and asked her to stop, a heated confrontation ensued. During the dispute, the suspect allegedly took a knife and stabbed him once in the chest, causing his immediate death
The tragic event has left the Oshikuni community in shock, as residents try to come to terms with the sudden loss and the circumstances surrounding it.
Police investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the full details of the incident. The suspect is arrested.
