25-Year-Old Woman Brutally Attacked and Raped in Rehoboth

Namibian Police

Authorities in Rehoboth are investigating a horrific sexual assault that occurred over the weekend, leaving a 25-year-old woman traumatized.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, December 7, 2024, around 02:30, in a bushy area near the Ruimte Primary School field. According to the police report, the victim had been walking back from the Puma Service Station, where she had gone to purchase snacks, when the attack unfolded.
An unknown man allegedly grabbed the woman from behind, carried her to the secluded area, and subjected her to a brutal assault. The suspect reportedly threatened her life by holding a knife to her throat and warned her to stay silent. He then struck her head with a stone, causing her to lose consciousness.
Disturbing details reveal that when the victim briefly regained consciousness, the suspect further violated her, including inserting a stick into her private area, before rendering her unconscious again with another blow to the head.
When the woman eventually woke up, the assailant had fled, taking her cellphone. The suspect is described as wearing a black long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans, and sporting a short fade hairstyle.
No arrests have been made yet as the police continue their investigation into the case.
