Stina Wu Joins PAWO Leadership to Expand Economic Opportunities for Women in Namibia and Beyond

Pan African Women’s Organisation President Eunice Iipinge has appointed Chinese businesswoman Stina Wu to serve as Special Economic Advisor, a move aimed at deepening the organisation’s work on trade, investment, and enterprise growth for women across the continent.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Iipinge said the appointment was based on Wu’s track record in economic development and her demonstrated commitment to expanding opportunities for women in business.
According to Iipinge, Wu was selected for her distinguished leadership in building cross-border partnerships, mobilizing international investment, and supporting enterprise development. The PAWO president noted that Wu’s background aligns directly with the organisation’s priority to advance inclusive economic growth and entrepreneurship at both national and regional levels.

“Your outstanding contribution to business development, investment promotion, and entrepreneurship, and your unwavering commitment to advancing the economic empowerment of women across Namibia and the African continent, are the foundation for this appointment,” Iipinge stated.
She added that Wu’s expertise in forging strategic partnerships and attracting capital is expected to strengthen PAWO’s existing programs focused on creating sustainable livelihoods and economic independence for African women. Iipinge also highlighted Wu’s alignment with PAWO’s long-term vision, describing the new advisory role as a step toward a productive partnership that can deliver tangible results for women entrepreneurs.
Wu acknowledged the appointment on social media, calling it an honour and a responsibility. She said she intends to use the platform to support initiatives around women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, investment flows, innovation, and sustainable development in Namibia and across Africa.

Wu also expressed appreciation to her network of supporters, framing the appointment as a shared achievement rooted in the belief that women’s leadership is central to building a more prosperous and inclusive future for the continent.
