Confirmed: 22 people killed in Angola road accident involving Macon bus

Twenty two people have been confirmed dead while 10 others were injured following a horrific road accident involving a Macon passenger bus and a three wheeled motorcycle carrying fuel in Angola’s Cuanza Sul Province.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 3 August, along National Road 100, where the two vehicles collided, causing a fire that engulfed the scene.

According to preliminary information from Angolan authorities, the bus was travelling from Lubango in Huíla Province when the crash happened.

The injured victims, who suffered various injuries and burns, were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
