Lifeguards in Namibia

Swakopmund, Namibia – A quick response by lifeguards at the Mole in Swakopmund on Tuesday afternoon saved the life of a young man who was on the verge of drowning.

According to witnesses, the man was struggling to stay afloat when lifeguards spotted him in distress. Acting swiftly, one lifeguard swam out to the victim with a lifesaving buoy, while another used a paddle ski to reach him more efficiently.

By the time the lifeguards arrived, the man’s head had already begun to submerge beneath the water. Despite the tense situation, the lifeguards managed to bring him safely back to shore, where paramedics were waiting. The victim was rushed to the hospital by ambulance for further medical attention.

The incident highlights the vital role lifeguards play in ensuring the safety of beachgoers and the importance of maintaining vigilance at popular swimming spots. Authorities urge visitors to always swim in designated areas and remain aware of their surroundings.

Further details about the man’s condition were not immediately available at the time of reporting.
