Nominations Open to Honour Namibia’s Best in Sport

The Namibian sports fraternity is once again gearing up to celebrate its top achievers, as nominations officially open for the 2025 Namibian Annual Sport Awards (NASA). Submissions will be accepted from 1 October of the previous year to 30 September of the year under review, with the process now underway.

Organised by the Namibian Sports Commission (NSC), the prestigious event honours exceptional performances and contributions in local, professional, and international sports arenas. Established in line with Article 31 of the Namibia Sports Act (Act No. 12 of 2003), the awards aim to keep the spirit of sport alive by recognising those who inspire and uplift through their achievements.

This year’s edition features 19 categories, celebrating male and female athletes, sports personalities with disabilities, national sports federations and organisations, media sports personalities, and legendary figures who have made a lasting impact on Namibian sport.

Full details on the nomination process and award criteria can be found on the NSC’s official portal at nscportal.org/awards.
