Affirmative Repositioning (AR) leader Job Amupanda has accused National Assembly Speaker Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila of corruption, claiming parliamentary staff assigned to Windhoek were instead deployed to work at her village residence in Ombalantu.
Amupanda made the allegations on social media following a heated National Assembly session in which security officials forcibly removed AR parliamentarian Tuhafeni Kalola for defying the Speaker’s instructions. Amupanda, who attempted to defend his colleague, was also removed but later returned to the chamber.

In his post, Amupanda alleged that public funds were being misused to pay workers stationed in Windhoek while they served at the Speaker’s private residence. He further claimed that his team was investigating the matter and vowed not to be intimidated.
“No amount of harassment will stop us from fighting corruption. If anything, we are even more determined,” Amupanda wrote.
