Atletico Madrid lost another hope to win the local tittle this year after hurtful defeat to Real Sociedad


The Spanish giant recently lost the Supercopa de Espana to Athletic Club in the semifinal and their hope only remained for Coper Del Rey.

Atletico Madrid who currently sit in fourth place on the La Liga table with one match in hand, had no hope for the local title for 20/21 if they will not win La Liga. 
Before the match began, outside the Reale Arena in San Sebastian, you will see how eager Real Sociedad fans wanted to win more tittle to add to their 2019/20 title success, which was also shown on the pitch too.

Felipe, who replace Simione’s first choice, Jose Maria Gimenez who was suspended, and the injured Stefan Savic, reluctant on the ball before Sorloth took the chance to Atletico’s last man of possession and slotted beyond Jan Oblak.
Diego Simeone make changes with a triple substitution to try to keep his team alive, but Imanol Alguacil’s side continued to look comfortable, even as Atleti began to dominate possession.
The best chance came in the last minutes of the match which fell to Ruben Le Normand, whose header from a corner but was denied off the line by Matheus Cunha.
Real Sociedad now is waiting who to face in the next round join Real Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, Cadiz, Valencia, and Real Betis who are waiting for Real Madrid, Elche, Athletic Club, and Barcelona to play on Thursday for a place in the quarter-final
