Authorities in Namibia investigate allegations of human trafficking and selling organs

Follows a disturbing video that surfaced on social media on Monday allegedly of human trafficking and selling organs, the video showing a man in handcuffs being questioned by officers in Zambia.

Authorities in Namibia’s Zambezi Region have launched an urgent joint investigation into allegations of human trafficking and selling organs , particularly targeting children and vulnerable individuals.

The video, which went viral, captures the suspect speaking in the Silozi language, admitting to the kidnapping and killing of a child. He further confesses to removing the victim’s internal organs and private body parts for selling and alleged ritualistic purposes.

In his confession, the suspect names an individual from the Zambezi Region as his accomplice and leads authorities to a location where he claims unwanted body parts were burned. He also discloses the amount he was paid for carrying out the gruesome act.

Chief Inspector Charles Mayumbelo has confirmed that law enforcement agencies in Namibia and Zambia are working together to investigate the claims, emphasizing the urgency of the matter. The police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are appealing to community members to cooperate with law enforcement in ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice. More details are expected to emerge as the probe continues.
