
A joint effort is underway to identify the body of an adult male discovered floating in the Kavango River near Nkurenkuru this morning.
According to Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga of the Kavango West Police, the lifeless body was retrieved around 09:50 following reports from concerned members of the public. The deceased remains unidentified, and no missing person cases have been reported in the area at this time.
Local police have since engaged their counterparts across the border in Angola to assist with the identification process, as the region shares frequent cross-border movement.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information that could aid in identifying the deceased to come forward.
