Spanish giants FC Barcelona have reached a loan agreement with Manchester United for the signing of English forward Marcus Rashford, with an option to buy included in the deal.
Sources close to the negotiations confirmed that a verbal agreement has already been sealed, with both clubs finalizing key details such as Rashford’s salary structure and the future purchase clause.
Barcelona have reportedly begun preparations for Rashford’s medical next week, while United are expected to grant the player travel clearance soon. The club’s sporting director Deco has been actively involved in the deal, which has also received the green light from new manager Hansi Flick.
Tensions between Rashford and United’s current coach, Rúben Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag in November 2024, are said to have contributed to the move. Rashford previously had a short loan spell at Aston Villa following a dip in form and playing time under Amorim.
Recently, Rashford sparked speculation about a transfer by following several Barcelona players on Instagram, including star striker Robert Lewandowski.
