The Brave Warriors remain unbeaten in Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea. The result sees Namibia move to 12 points from six games, keeping their qualification hopes alive.
Namibia took the lead early in the second half through captain Peter Shalulile, but Equatorial Guinea responded quickly, equalizing just three minutes later with a goal from Saul Coco.
Tunisia currently leads the group with 13 points from five games and will play Malawi later today. Should Namibia have secured all three points, they would have temporarily moved to the top of the table with 14 points. Only the group winners will qualify directly for the World Cup, while the four best runners-up will compete for a spot in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
With all eyes on Tunisia’s match against Malawi, Group H remains wide open as the race for World Cup qualification continues.
