Namibia’s Brave Warriors are gearing up for two crucial fixtures that could keep their 2026 FIFA World Cup dream alive, as the team will now temporary host their games in Botswana.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has confirmed that supporters will enjoy free entry to the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, where the Brave Warriors will host Malawi on 5 September and São Tomé and Príncipe on 9 September 2025. The announcement was made by NFA Interim General Secretary Cassius Moetie, who emphasised the importance of strong fan support for the team’s qualification campaign.
Currently placed second in their qualifying group with 12 points, Namibia trails leaders Tunisia by four points. Victory in both upcoming matches would not only strengthen their standing but also keep them in contention for a historic World Cup appearance.
There will be buses transporting Namibian fans to Botswana to rally behind the Brave Warriors.
