BREAKING NEWS: Namcor Corruption Scandal Accused Appear in Court


NAMCOR suspects appear in court

Mulunga, who is the most senior figure in the scandal, is charged with corruptly accepting gratification under the Anti-Corruption Act. Other accused individuals include Cornelius Petrus Willemse and Jennifer Ndapwohoni Hamukwaya, who faces charges of corruptly accepting gratification and abusing her position for personal gain.

Charges

Former National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) Managing Director Immanuel Mulunga and 12 others appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court this morning in connection with a high-profile corruption case.

Also charged are:

  • Olivia Grace Dunaiski
  • Peter Hango Elindi
  • Malakia Natangwe Elindi
  • Lydia Ilenikuye Elindi
  • Panduleni Ndiba Hamukwaya

Several companies have also been implicated for allegedly facilitating illegal transactions:

  • Enercon Namibia (Pty) Ltd – facing charges of racketeering, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit corruption.
  • Onyeka Clearing and Forwarding CC
  • Nyambali Medical Centre CC
  • Panduleni Farming CC
  • Parkwood Petroleum Logistics CC

According to the court records, the charges involve allegations of bribes, racketeering, money laundering, and using front companies to conceal illicit funds linked to oil supply contracts and dealings with Namcor.

This case is part of an ongoing investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and has been described as one of Namibia’s most serious and complex corruption cases in recent years.

Court proceedings are ongoing.
