Recently, Nigerian music star Burna Boy was caught up in a controversy after a lady named Sophia Egbueje accused him of failing to keep a promise. She claimed that after spending time with him, he promised to buy her a Lamborghini but never did.
According to her, the Nigerian singer promised to buy her a Lamborghini if she agreed to sleep with him, which she did. However, after that, Burna Boy failed to keep his promise, stopped responding to her, and even blocked her.
Sophia also mentioned that although Burna Boy didn’t fulfill his promise, she eventually bought the car herself.
In response, Burna Boy posted a freestyle video on Instagram, singing, “I no buy Lambo, is that why you’re shouting?”—making it clear that he wasn’t bothered by the accusations. This led to debates on social media about relationships, money, and personal responsibility. Actress Angela Okorie even called him out, saying he took advantage of Sophia.
Meanwhile, at his recent show in Kenya, another woman in the crowd held up a sign asking Burna Boy to buy her a house. It seems he’s attracting more of these public requests.
On a different note, Burna Boy’s new girlfriend has unfollowed him on social media, sparking rumors about trouble in their relationship.
