
The Namibian Presidency is in mourning following the death of Chief Inspector Richie ‘Karel’ //Naobeb, who passed away on Sunday at Rundu Private Hospital in Kavango East while performing his official duties.
Acting Executive Director Alma Nambundunga, in a statement on Thursday, extended the heartfelt condolences of the Office of the President to //Naobeb’s family.
“The late Chief //Naobeb led the presidential escort unit in the Office of the President. His commitment and service to the nation will be remembered with great respect,” Nambundunga said.
She added, “On behalf of management and staff, we offer our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family during this difficult time.”
