Residents in the Erongo Region will soon benefit from a new electricity credit service, allowing them to access power on credit and repay the amount with their subsequent purchase.
This upcoming initiative was revealed by Erongo Red Chief Executive Officer, Tino !Hanabeb, during the company’s 20th anniversary gala dinner held recently. !Hanabeb stated that the new system aims to support customers facing short-term financial difficulties by offering a more flexible payment solution for electricity.
He emphasized that the credit-based model is part of Erongo Red’s ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction, particularly during economically challenging times.
The electricity distributor, which serves several towns and settlements in the Erongo Region, continues to implement innovations aimed at improving access and affordability for its clients. Further details about the rollout of the credit service are expected to be announced in the coming months.
