With the arrival of the rainy season, agricultural activities in the Kavango West region are gaining momentum as local farmers prepare for a productive year ahead.
In a significant boost to their efforts, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) donated agricultural materials worth N$1.5 million to 19 horticulture farmers in the region.
The items, which include seeds, garden tools, wheelbarrows, water tanks, garden pipes, and solar panels, were officially handed over by Kavango West Regional Governor Verna Sinimbo during a ceremony held in Nkurenkuru on Monday.

Governor Sinimbo commended the FAO for its continued support, emphasizing that the assistance will help enhance food production, promote self-sufficiency, and improve the livelihoods of small-scale farmers in the region.
