
Four members of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) were injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred near the Brakwater weighbridge along the B1 road on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Colonel Petrus Shilumbu of the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, the officers were part of a group of six bikers traveling together when the incident took place. He confirmed that four of them were involved in the crash and have since been admitted to a Windhoek hospital for medical treatment.
“Two of the officers sustained serious injuries, while the other two are in stable condition,” Colonel Shilumbu said. He further noted that the cause of the accident remains under investigation as authorities await the official incident report.
The Ministry has not yet released the identities of the injured members pending notification of their families.
