George Kakuwa, who had been out of school during the 2023/2024 academic year, has expressed immense gratitude to everyone who played a role in his return to school, according to Eagle FM.
Through the generous contributions of well-wishers, Kakuwa received financial support exceeding N$30,000 to help him resume his education.
On 21 February 2025, he traveled approximately 200 kilometers from Divundu to Rundu to attend the Memorial Service of Namibia’s Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma. His dedication and determination touched many hearts, ultimately leading to efforts that secured his return to school.
On Monday, 31 March 2025, Kakuwa was officially enrolled as a Grade 4 learner at Mbambangandu Junior Primary School. He is now residing in the school’s hostel in Sambyu, where he can fully focus on his studies.
In addition to his appreciation for the support he has received, Kakuwa also expressed a heartfelt desire to one day visit the family of the late Dr. Sam Nujoma as a way of honoring his memory and paying his respects.
