A 33-year-old woman, arrested on Thursday for allegedly distributing nude pictures and videos of a 31-year-old female radio presenter, Anna Penavali, was granted bail of N$2,000 in the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court this morning.
As part of her bail conditions, the accused is prohibited from committing a similar offense, contacting the complainant, interfering with police investigations, or approaching within 300 meters of the complainant.

Hilia Shikongeni, the accused, is married to a well-known politician and faces two charges: transmission of obscene, lewd, or indecent material, and criminal defamation. The State, represented by Pinias Juergen Gariseb, requested Magistrate Mozay Jansen to postpone the case to 23 April 2025. This delay will allow Shikongeni, who is currently five months pregnant, time to deliver her baby and secure a private lawyer.
