On Friday, the Mbunza Traditional Authority’s Hompa Alfons Kaundu officially opened the Ncuncuni Circuit Cultural Festival held at Pandureni Combined School.
In his opening address, Hompa Kaundu urged community members to honor and preserve all aspects of their cultural heritage, including traditional attire.

“It is concerning that nowadays we often see both husbands and wives wearing trousers. This is not part of our culture; women, in particular, should not wear trousers,” Hompa Kaundu emphasized, reinforcing the importance of upholding cultural dress codes.
The festival aims to celebrate and promote the rich traditions of the Mbunza community while encouraging younger generations to embrace their cultural identity.
