Johana Swartbooi Crowned Miss Namibia 2025 in Prestigious held in Ongwediva

Johana Swartbooi was officially crowned Miss Namibia 2025 during a grand ceremony held in Ongwediva on Saturday, marking a defining moment in the country’s beauty and empowerment landscape.

Swartbooi, a 27-year-old model and business graduate from Vaalgras in the //Kharas Region, impressed both judges and the audience with her poise, natural elegance, and authenticity. Notably, she was previously crowned second runner-up in the 2019 edition of Miss Namibia.

As the newly crowned queen, Swartbooi walked away with a brand-new house through a partnership with the National Housing Enterprise (NHE), as well as a car sponsored by Pupkewitz Motors, marking a significant reward for her achievement.

The first runner-up title was awarded to Uatjiri Mbaisa, while Tuwilika Andreas secured the second runner-up position.

Moreover, Sirkka Ndjoba was crowned Miss Photogenic, Ndeshipewa Angula received the Miss Congeniality title for her outstanding friendliness and spirit, while Uatjiri Mbaisa walked away with the Miss Public Choice crown, voted by the public.

Audience members and judges alike praised Swartbooi’s natural beauty and humility. One supporter described her as “the true definition of natural Namibian beauty – no heavy makeup, no wig, simple nails, just confidence, style, and grace.”

Her win is being celebrated across the country as a powerful message of authenticity and cultural pride in the modern Namibian woman.

The Miss Namibia pageant continues to be a platform that not only celebrates beauty but also promotes national values, women’s empowerment, and community development.
