In a boost for Durban City FC’s maiden season in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), Namibian striker Joslin Kamatuka has officially extended his stay with the club following fresh contract negotiations.
Despite initial uncertainty and interest from other teams, Durban City returned to the table to finalize a new agreement with the prolific forward. The two parties had previously failed to align on terms, but a revised deal has now been struck, securing Kamatuka’s services ahead of a crucial season.

Kamatuka played a vital role in Durban City’s promotion campaign, finishing last season with 12 goals and helping the team top South Africa’s First Division. He has since returned to training and will continue donning the iconic number 14 jersey, this time in the country’s top flight.

Meanwhile, another Namibian talent is making waves abroad. Midfielder Kleophas Bester Useb has signed with Tafic FC, a Botswana Premiership side that finished second last season. Useb arrives at Tafic following a loan stint at Bucks Buccaneers FC (Namibia) and is officially on the move from Orapa United FC (Botswana).

His transfer is seen as a key midfield reinforcement for Tafic FC as they aim to challenge for the title in the upcoming season.
