This marks his first major performance in the country in years and is set to be his only African show for 2025.

Ye made the announcement via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on September 19, 2025, sharing a promotional flyer that read:

The post quickly garnered significant attention, with some reports indicating over 3 million views and widespread excitement among fans across the continent.

The concert is being organized by the Monyake Group, a local live-entertainment company. Managing director Samuel Monyake emphasized that the event aims to elevate the live entertainment industry in South Africa by staging events that are not only spectacular but also significant. He also mentioned that South African performers would share the stage, though the full lineup has not yet been revealed.

Ticket pre-registration is currently open through Ticketpro’s website. While full pricing and sale dates have not been released, fans are encouraged to sign up early to secure spots. The concert is slated to begin at 13:00 local time, though details on supporting acts or setlist remain under wraps.

Ellis Park Stadium, with a capacity of over 60,000, has previously hosted major events like the 1995 Rugby World Cup final and concerts by global stars such as Rihanna and U2.
