Kanye West’s Former Assistant Accuses Him of Rape, Harassment

Kanye West

San Francisco, October 2024 — Kanye West, the controversial rapper and fashion mogul, is facing serious allegations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who has accused him of sexual harassment, stalking, and attempted rape. The allegations stem from incidents that allegedly occurred while West and his crew were staying at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco during the recording of his 2021 album, Donda.

In a lawsuit filed earlier this week, Pisciotta claims that West attempted to rape her in her hotel room on multiple occasions, with the most recent incident occurring in July 2021. According to the lawsuit, West arrived at Pisciotta’s hotel room at 6 a.m., knocked on the door, and forcibly entered when she opened it. The documents allege that West’s behavior escalated, despite Pisciotta’s repeated protests and refusals.

Pisciotta further alleges a pattern of harassment and stalking, stating that West made inappropriate comments and advances toward her during her time working for him. These claims add to the growing list of controversies surrounding the artist, who has often made headlines for his erratic behavior and public outbursts.

Kanye West has responded to the allegations, denying the accusations of sexual misconduct. His legal team has dismissed the lawsuit as baseless, with a spokesperson stating that Pisciotta’s claims are part of an ongoing effort to damage West’s reputation. They also indicated that they plan to countersue for defamation.

This is not the first time West has faced legal battles. His personal life and career have been marred by a series of controversies, from his tumultuous divorce from reality star Kim Kardashian to his highly publicized outbursts on social media. However, these new accusations mark a serious turn for the rapper, potentially damaging his already polarizing image in the entertainment industry.

As the legal battle unfolds, the case has drawn significant attention, with many people calling for accountability if the claims are proven true. Pisciotta’s allegations come at a time when conversations about sexual harassment and assault in the entertainment industry continue to gain momentum, and this case could have far-reaching implications for both West and the broader music industry.

Neither Pisciotta nor West has provided further public comment since the lawsuit was filed. The court date for the case has yet to be set, and it remains unclear how these allegations will impact West’s ongoing projects and public standing.

The story is still developing.
