
A 57-year-old teacher at Nduno Primary School in the Kavango West region died on Thursday afternoon after suffering a severe nosebleed.
The deceased has been identified as Ignasius Kapundura Rupusa, a resident of Etenderera village in the Mankumpi constituency.
According to witnesses, Rupusa began bleeding from the nose while teaching in class. Later that afternoon, around 16:30, he was discovered lying on his bed at his residence in Nduno village, still bleeding. Emergency services were called, but despite swift medical intervention, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local clinic.
Police confirmed that no foul play is suspected at this stage. The cause of death will be determined through a post-mortem examination, and his body has since been taken to the Rundu State Mortuary.
Rupusa is remembered by colleagues and learners as a committed educator who dedicated his life to teaching and uplifting the community.
Authorities have assured the public that investigations into the sudden death are ongoing.
