The 24th edition of the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup will return to the //Kharas Region in 2026, nearly 20 years after the region first hosted the prestigious youth competition in 2007.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) confirmed the decision following a comprehensive assessment of the available facilities, giving the southern region the nod to stage the tournament once more.
Last year’s 23rd edition in Kunene Region captured plenty of excitement. The hosts, Kunene, lifted the football trophy in front of their home crowd, while Kavango East claimed the netball championship.

The upcoming tournament will also conclude Nedbank Namibia’s current sponsorship contract. However, provisions exist that could allow the partnership to continue beyond the 2026 edition.
