
Gainasteb farm suffered a major setback last night when a sudden lightning strike during heavy rainfall killed 26 of the farm’s sheep.
Farm owner Petro Oaseb described the incident as a “significant loss,” expressing concern over the difficulty of rebuilding his flock after such a tragedy.
Agricultural technician Uarorisiua Kasaona from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform said such events are unfortunate but sometimes unavoidable, noting that natural disasters can strike without warning.
