A 59-year-old man was taken into police custody on Friday evening, 29 August 2025, after allegedly shooting his 58-year-old wife with a bow and arrow at their home in Iipanda village, Omusati Region.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 17:00 inside the couple’s residence. The woman sustained an open wound to her right upper arm and was immediately rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
