Rundu, Namibia – A man accused of causing a fatal accident last Saturday night near the Channel O Bar along the Trans-Caprivi Highway has been denied bail.
Joakim Kayangura appeared in the Rundu Magistrate Court on Monday following his arrest in connection with the tragic incident that claimed two lives and left three others injured.
The accident occurred when a vehicle allegedly plowed into a group of people. Julius Haupindi, 21, was among the victims and died instantly at the scene. Sindere Fillomin Natali succumbed to his injuries on the way to Rundu Intermediate Hospital.
The court has postponed Kayangura’s case to March 31, 2025, pending further investigations.
