The Namibian Police in the //Kharas Region have launched an investigation into the death of a 28-year-old woman, Sarah Muzorongondo, who was found fatally stabbed at her residence in Rosh Pinah on Friday.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred after the suspect, also 28 years old, returned to the victim’s flat to retrieve his belongings. It is alleged that the couple had been involved in a dispute earlier that led to the suspect being asked to leave the premises.
Neighbours reportedly heard the victim screaming shortly after the suspect entered the room. When they were unable to open the locked door, the suspect’s brother forced it open using a stone. Upon entering, they found Muzorongondo lying in a pool of blood and the suspect nearby with stab wounds to his neck and chest.
Muzorongondo was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders. The suspect was transported to Keetmanshoop State Hospital, where he remains under police guard as investigations continue.
