Namibian businesswoman and philanthropist Michelle McLean has been celebrated on one of the world’s most prominent platforms the Nasdaq Billboard in New York’s Times Square. The recognition follows her being named Top Global Business Woman of the Year in Tourism & Investment by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

McLean, a former Miss Universe and Patron of Miss Namibia, recently took up the role of International Business Officer for Gondwana Collection in North America. She described the honour as a proud moment to showcase Namibia’s potential in tourism and investment on a global stage.

This award builds on her achievements in 2023, when the IAOTP honoured McLean with a Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted her into its Hall of Fame. She was recognised for her philanthropy through the Michelle McLean Children Trust, her entrepreneurship, and her role as a long-standing representative of Namibia internationally.
