Kuisebmund police have confirmed the death of 41-year-old Edward Embashu, who was reported missing on Sunday, 17 August.
According to Erongo police spokesperson Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, Embashu’s body was discovered on Thursday at around 09:30. “Police received a report of a man found hanged. The family of the missing person was contacted and positively identified the body,” Shomongula said.
His family raised the alarm after he failed to travel to Otavi, where he was scheduled to start a new job. “He had packed his belongings but never left and did not report for work,” Shomongula said.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
