The One Economy Foundation Executive Chairperson, Monica Geingos, has urged women to carefully consider the men they choose to marry and have children with, describing these as the two most important decisions a woman makes in her life.
Speaking at the recent Mom’s Day Off event hosted by Motherhood Namibia at the Windhoek Country Club, Geingos emphasized that these choices have a lasting impact not only on a woman’s wellbeing but also on the future of her children.
“The two big important decisions you make are the father of your kids and who you marry,” Geingos told attendees.
She highlighted that a woman should marry a partner who is responsible and capable of supporting the family, both emotionally and financially. Geingos added that a father’s character and involvement play a crucial role in shaping who the children become.
Her remarks were met with strong agreement from mothers and guests present at the event, who said the message was a timely reminder about the importance of making thoughtful life choices.
The Mom’s Day Off event brought together mothers from different backgrounds to share experiences, promote women’s empowerment, and encourage conversations around parenting and family wellbeing.
