Rundu – The murder case of Andreas Ihemba Kapupa (20), accused of fatally stabbing security guard Pius Muyambo, has been remanded to 6 March 2025 for further police investigation. Kapupa appeared before Rundu magistrate Selma Shiinga on charges of murder, with public prosecutor Michael Munika representing the state.
The incident occurred on Monday at the Rundu Galaxy Mall. Kapupa allegedly used an Okapi knife to stab Muyambo after an altercation near the mall’s restrooms. Reports indicate that Muyambo confronted Kapupa, who was sitting and eating in the area at the time.
Muyambo was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, having lost a significant amount of blood due to the wound. The case has drawn attention in the community as investigations continue.
