Police in Windhoek have arrested three men, including a Namibian citizen and two South African nationals, after they were found driving a suspected stolen vehicle on Friday.
The suspects were intercepted in Windhoek’s Central Business District while in possession of a silver Ford Escort, which is reportedly valued at around N$180 000.
According to the Namibian Police, preliminary information suggests that the car had been brought into Namibia from South Africa under suspicious circumstances. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the vehicle was reported stolen in South Africa but noted that investigations are ongoing to establish its origin.
The three men remain in custody while police continue with investigations. Further details, including their court appearance, are expected to be released in the coming days.
