
Prominent Namibian gospel artist and motivational speaker, Naftalie Amukwelele widely known as D-Naff, appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on Friday following his arrest earlier in the day on multiple fraud-related charges.
The celebrated musician faces six charges in total, consisting of three counts of forgery and three counts of uttering forged documents. His case was heard before Magistrate Jurina Hochobes, who granted him bail set at N$5,000.
According to police sources, Amukwelele was apprehended and formally charged at the Windhoek Police Station around midday before being escorted to court for his first appearance.
D-Naff is expected to return to court on 18 November 2025 as investigations into the matter continue
